Mgr. Dana Syslová

Addictologist, Psychotherapist

Dana studied social work at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University, completed accredited comprehensive psychotherapy training at the Institute for Systemic Experience and a number of other specialization programs and professional internships at home and abroad, especially in the field of addictions. During her 30-year professional career, she worked in various positions from small non-governmental organizations to central government bodies, until she finally landed happily as a freelancer.

Her heart is the quality of services and the protection of the rights of users, which is why she has also been involved in systemic changes for a long time - she was at the birth of the first methadone program, the promotion of social work in criminal justice or the creation of standards and the introduction of the inspection of social services and their transformation; she also got involved in activities related to the reform of psychiatric care. She cooperated, among others, with the Probation and Mediation Service, the National Center for Support of the Transformation of Social Services and the Office of the Public Defender of Rights. The same passion led her to projects implemented in Mongolia and Georgia as part of international development cooperation.

Dana is qualified to perform the medical profession of addictologist, but she is no stranger to alternative methods such as family constellations, holotropic breathing or biodynamic massages.

She prefers to relax with a book and good coffee, she also likes theatre, music and paintings, but also her country garden. She lived in France for a short time and this love also remained with her.
