Bc. Martina Veškrnová

Martina graduated in General Nursing from the Krankenpflegeschule Diakonie-Klinikum Schwäbisch Hall GmbH in Germany. After returning to the Czech Republic she worked as a clinical trials monitor in pharmacy.

She underwent self-experiential psychoanalytic psychotherapy for a long time, which led her back to her original profession and to her interest in psychotherapy as such.

Since childhood she has been involved in her own artwork, which is why she became interested in art therapy. To study this field she first chose a study programme within the framework of lifelong learning at the Faculty of Arts in Brno. Then she completed an internship in the art therapy studio of the Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital.

In 2022, she graduated from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Psychology, majoring in Art Therapy, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of České Budějovice. For more than three years she worked as a nurse and cotherapist in the inpatient clinic for affective disorders at the Psychotherapeutic and Psychosomatic Clinic ESET. Currently she has started her specialization studies in Psychiatric Care in Nursing and is a new member of the Czech Art Therapy Association.

You can meet her at Clinic 2.
